Catherine is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has provided counseling services to several different populations with a variety of mental health diagnoses, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and adjustment disorders. She has spent most of her career specializing in adolescents and young adults while utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to best meet client needs, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy. She is experienced in both solution-focused brief interventions, as well as in working with clients towards accomplishing more long-
term treatment goals. She highly values a collaborative effort in identifying personal goals and creating an individualized treatment plan that is tailored specifically to each client and modified regularly in accordance with progression.

Although she is comfortable utilizing different therapeutic techniques as needed, Catherine always prioritizes a healthy therapeutic alliance and strives to continuously operate from a person-centered and trauma-informed perspective. She has experience in working with survivors of trauma, specifically domestic violence and childhood abuse. She has also worked with couples and families utilizing a systems approach to work through various issues and concerns, such as infidelity, reconnection, and parenting. In working with children, she fully understands how important it is for family to be included in treatment and to work together as a team to best support children in their mental health journey.

Catherine holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC #87954) in the state of Texas and a National Certified Counselor (NCC #1628351).
