Jeanice is a Christian counselor who enjoys working with couples, individuals, children, and adolescents. She specializes in ADHD, postpartum depression, blended families, substance abuse, anxiety, and spiritual guidance. Jeanice works with clients to find their strengths and abilities in order to cope with life. Her goal is to bring issues into awareness so that the root of the problem can be recognized, and clients are then better able to manage the situations they are facing. She believes that no individual or relationship is perfect, but anyone can develop a better and happier life. Jeanice utilizes her spiritual background in therapy only when a client is comfortable.
Jeanice was trained in post-modern therapy, which includes solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and collaborative therapy. She also has training and experience utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT. Jeanice is a facilitator for the Teen 360 Brotherhood and Sisterhood groups for teens, as well as the Creative Connections groups for children.
Jeanice holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Edward’s University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #201810) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (#68854) in the state of Texas.
