Marla Angibeau is a master’s level practicum student in the Licensed Professional Counselor Program at The University of St. Thomas. She loves working with children, adolescents, and families. Marla also has extensive experience working with parents to better support their children. She possesses a strong educational background with over 30 years as a school counselor. Marla is passionate about helping clients begin the healing process and find their
purpose. She truly believes that people have the power to make positive changes in their lives. She is enthusiastic about building a trusting relationship by providing a safe and non-judgmental counseling environment. She uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques along with other evidence-based approaches depending on the needs of the client.
Marla holds a Master of Education degree in Counseling from Prairie View A & M University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is a certified school counselor in the state of Texas. Marla is under the clinical supervision of Julie Ung, LMFT-S, LPC-S.
