Naomi holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from National University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California Santa Cruz. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #5040) and supervisor as well as a Registered Play Therapist.
Naomi enjoys working with children, adolescents, parents, and families. She specializes in ADHD, depression, anxiety, postpartum depression, juvenile justice related issues, grief and trauma. She is a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist, wife, and mother of three. She has over 20 years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings. These include non-profit agencies which primarily serve children and families, juvenile justice mental health settings, and community-based integrated health and wellness clinics.
Naomi uses empirically-supported and integrative approaches to therapy. She believes that therapy is one path to self-discovery and healing. She is here to support clients through their journey of discovery and help them live the life they are seeking. Naomi believes that personal growth and change happen with introspection and intentional action. Her approach is catered to each person’s individual needs and she designs treatment to meet those needs. She has training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), the Triple P Parenting approach, Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), Client-Centered Therapy, Bowenian Family Therapy, Family Systems and Play Therapy.
